Yes, I am a Woman

Yes, I am a woman, and I am actually proud to be one.

I am the one who got different names, like 'maa', 'Goddess Durga', 'Goddess Laxmi' and many more. I have been living in a country where we, women, got equal rights to men. I am living in a country where I don't need to be afraid while walking alone on the roads. I am living in a country where I really feel the safest on public transports, at offices, and in streets, even everywhere.

But, really do I feel so?

Ask it to yourself. Yes, being a woman, you should ask it to yourself, and from inside you'll definitely get a reply like why even the god has done partiality with us. Yes, you definitely will!

Why we are supposed to be at home at late nights instead of bounding guys at home so that we can be safe outside? Why we are supposed to be well-dressed in front of the society instead of asking those guys to look with respect to her?

There was a time when women only work in the house-hold stuff, that time they were not safe even at homes, today when they have successfully moved from 'Kitchen to Cabins', even now they are not safe. They are not safe at home, they are not safe on roads, they are not safe in public transports, they are not safe at their work-places.
Where the hell is equality if we, women, are afraid of this 'Male' entity whom we have to walk with on this so-called 'equality path'?

All say "time has been changed, now women walk with men, they work with them. And, many things are changed nowadays. Our country is doing so much for women rights."

And here I want to ask what, what are you doing for our rights, for our safety? If:
1. In every 7 minutes, a crime is committed against women.
2. In every 26 minutes, a woman is molested.
3. In every 34 minutes, a rape takes place.
4. In every 42 minutes, a sexual harassment case occurs.
5. In every 43 minutes, a woman is kidnapped.

Nothing has been done till today.

Yes, we are different from you. Yes, we do have different body structures. Yes, we do have some different hormonal changes. Yes, we do bleed for 5 days a month and you don't. Yes, we can give birth and you can not.

So what? Don't we have the rights to live in this world? Don't we have the rights to walk safely on roads? Don't we have the rights to live our dreams? Don't we have the rights to live freely?

I can be a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, and if all these relations are made with a man then why we are still UNSAFE in front of you?

I am the proud human to have a power to give birth to another human. I am the one who despite of being criticized for doing whatever I do, I keep my journey on. I am the one who can turn a house into a home, a hell into heaven. I am the sadness, I am the happiness. I have the power to defeat the world and recreate it. I have the power to lead the world.

And, today I truly believe that no government, nothing can change this pathetic situation of women, until you (men) decide to let every other woman feel safe everywhere, at home, on roads, in offices, in public transport.

Look at her with respect, not as a chance! She, walking alone on roads should be your responsibility not a coming chance for you.

The need is to change the view of seeing the world!
THE NEED IS TO BOUND YOUR SONS AT HOME AT LATE NIGHTS, SO THAT WE CAN BE SAFE IN THE OUTSIDE WORLD!
Yes, seriously it would be the best way for our safety.

Let us live happily, equally because we don't think we did anything wrong on taking birth as girls in this world.

Let me know if you like my article on today's pathetic situation of women, would come with some new opinions next time!

Have a Great Day!!
